Anand College of Education, Department of Pharmacy strictly follows all the examination rules and regulations laid down by the affiliating University, MAKAUT for B. Pharm & M. Pharm course and rules and regulations of WBSCT&VE&SD for D. Pharm course.

Theory Subjects

Ø Continuous Assessment (CAs)

Note: The best of the two CA marks is averaged to contribute 25% of total theory marks towards CA. Additional 5 marks is assigned for the attendance of the student.

Ø End Semester Examination: (University Examination 70 marks)

The end semester examination is conducted for all Theory papers. The question paper for the end semester examination contains three types of questions as mentioned below:

Practical

Ø Practical Continuous Assessments (PCAs)

Two internal PCAs are conducted for the Practical. The question paper pattern is as follows:

Evaluation system:

All answer sheets of the end semester examinations are scanned at central hub in the University campus and are uploaded in the secure online portal. The scripts are anonymized (masked), pooled centrally, and assigned randomly to examiners for evaluation.

The assessment system for D. Pharm

The Assessment in the Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) program is conducted as per the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and WBSCT & VE & SD norms.

Theory Subjects

Ø Internal Assessment (IA): (20 marks)

Two internal assessments (IA) are conducted in an academic year, as per the guidelines and time slot given by the Council. The Question pattern for the IA is as per the guidelines prescribed by the PCI, New Delhi. The question paper pattern is as follows:

Note: The marks secured by the students out of the total 40 shall be reduced to 20 in each sessional, and then the internal assessment shall be calculated based on the best two averages for 20 marks.

The Final Board examination is conducted for all Theory papers. The question paper pattern is as follows:

Ø Internal Practical Sessional: (80 Marks)

Two Internal Practical Sessional Examinations (Sessional 1 & Sessional 2) are conducted in an academic Year as per the guidelines and time slot provided by the Council. The Question pattern is as per the guidelines prescribed by the PCI, New Delhi.

Note: The marks for the experiments shall be divided into various categories, viz. major experiment, minor experiment, spotters, etc. as per the requirement of the course.

Note: The marks secured by the students out of the total of 80 shall be reduced to 10 in each sessional, and then the internal assessment shall be calculated based on the best two averages for 10 marks from the sessional and other 10 marks shall be awarded as per the details given below.
